Jason has used PHP since 2001, where he was searching for a free substitute for IIS/ASP to create an accounting system for a home business. His Unix administrator pointed him towards Linux, Apache and PHP. He has since adopted PHP as an intranet development standard at work, as well as using PHP in a Unix shell scripting environment.
He is the author of php|architect's Guide to PHP Design Patterns (php|architect 2005), and was a co-author of PHP Graphics Handbook (Wrox 2003), has published several articles for the Zend website and for php|architect magazine, and has presented numerous talks on PHP at various conferences. Jason is a Zend Certified Engineer, and maintains a blog at http://blog.casey-sweat.us/.
